Event Summary
The Meon Valley Riser is brought to you by the same people that organise the New Forest Rattler.
The Meon Valley is our local stomping ground, and this means that we know all the best bits and have put together two excellent and spectacular routes for you.
The Riser takes in such climbs as Old Winchester Hill, Harvesting Lane and Stoner Hill and promises to be a challenge. We've had some fun while out route finding for this event and burnt a few thousand calories in the process. As well as all the climbing, there are also some awesome sweeping downhill sections to raise your average mph!
Riders will encounter some stunning views at numerous points on the Riser including an iron age fort at the top of Old Winchester Hill, and awesome panoramas of the Meon Valley. This landscape really makes you appreciate what lies beyond Hampshire's main roads and motorways.
