ITP Events Crossrider

Taking in a combination of off-road tracks, green lanes and bridleways this event can be ridden on a cyclo-cross bike or mountain bike. The surfaces vary from reasonable tarmac to grass and uneven surfaces with the odd brook thrown in. It is unsuitable for a road bike, unless you like falling off and shopping for new wheels. 

The event is fully sign-posted as usual, with a gps download and printed map available, although as even with an off-road event some independent navigation is required. We will have mechanics available at the event, although being off road service cannot always be guaranteed so a degree of self-sufficiency will be required. 

The routes has been planned to be challenging without the prospect of wading through mud for hours. Most of the route is hard surface of varying quality. As usual there is chip timing and feedstations.
