Join us for a challenging winter sportive that heads south from Bristol taking in the Mendip Hills and Somerset Levels.

Starting from Hengrove Park there's a brief chance to warm up the legs before the first climb of the day and a taste of what lies ahead.

There's no easy flat route south of Bristol and we've chosen Dundry Hill as our escape path from the city. It's a tough climb but looking on the positive side a great way to warm up on a cool day and there's a fun fast descent down the other side. From Dundry we skirt the edge of the Mendip Hills before heading up into them via our second big climb of the day up Burrington Coombe. Continuing through the Mendips and in a break with sportive tradition the route goes down Cheddar Gorge rather than up it and then onto the Somerset levels for some contasting flatter terrain.

After our trip across the Somerset levels there's a final challenge waiting with another tough climb from Wells and back into the Mendips via Old Bristol Road before heading back to the finish.
