The Daffodils Sportive, named after the World famous Farndale Daffodils was a new event in 2013. We wanted to add a new Sportive to the Velo29 Calendar which incorporated some of our favourite roads, had a challenge for all abilities without being too hard (it is still April after all) and like the other Velo29 events, focused around a famous North East land mark.
The Daffodils is exactly that and the routes are stunning!

The Daffodils Sportive is an event in memory of Jean Williamson who we sadly lost to a long battle with Cancer in June 2012. Jean, Mother of event director Richard loved the Daffodils of Farndale, we enjoyed many family days out there when we were younger.
Jean would be very touched to think of the riders riding through the wonderful North Yorkshire scenery enjoying these beautiful flowers.
