Forming part of a huge weekend of activities (brought to you by our new event partner - ADRIA), the ULTRA, CHAPEAU and ESPRESSO routes have been re-developed to really showcase the highlights of why Mercia got the world in motion; Bridgnorth was once one of the busiest river ports in Europe; the Severn Valley Railway connecting Worcetershire with Shropshire; The magnificent Clee Hill climb looms large at the southern end; the birth-place of the modern day Olympics – Much Wenlock; Up and over The Wrekin; and finally, the world’s first iron bridge (the internationally recognised symbol of the Industrial Revolution) in Ironbridge. This is a sportive delivered by KILO TO GO – we go further.

Weston Park stately home will be a beautiful backdrop for the sportive, with much more on offer this year courtesy of Experience Freedom. As well as the opportunity for a leisurely stroll around the fabulous estate, there will be a big festival around the start/finish line which is open to riders and spectators to attend, with fun activities for all the family, food and drink plus a craft fair. ADRIA will also have a selection of their motorhomes and caravans on show for you browse should you be intrigued!
The event also forms the starting point of our ULTRA series (events with long route options having more than 2,000m of ascent) with 2,000m of climbing.

U16 ride for free
For 2016, a limited number of Under 16s can ride for free, as long as they are accompanied by a fee paying adult. The adult needs to enter the event, create a pre-paid group, and then add the U16 route option to the group - there's no need to choose a distance (it will show as 0). Once everything is confirmed, share your E-Invite with the U16 rider. We do not post rider packs out to U16 riders - they will need to pick the pack up on the day from the registration desk accompanied by the adult.
