Priority entries open today for the Etape Loch Ness 2015, a new sportive first held this year that takes riders on a tour around Scotland's famous monster habitat. The 2015 Etape will take place on Sunday 26 April 2015.

The Etape Loch Ness is a 67-mile (107km) sportive held on closed roads and loops all the way around the loch, hugging the shoreline for most of the route. Starting and finishing in the Highland capital of Inverness, the Etape is a moderate rather than a monster challenge with 900m of climbing.

Alongside the usual rider timing, medals, feed stations and goodybags, there will be a timed King of the Mountain challenge and mechanical support, all included in the entry fee.

Entries opened today for those who registered interest in advance; general entries will open this Friday 21 November and are expected to sell out in a matter of hours.
