It was supposed to be the Tour de France's big day; the long-awaited, only slightly leaked unveiling of the 2018 route was guaranteed to grab all the world's cycling headlines - wasn't it?
Well, no. Because just a few hours before this morning's Tour de France and Etape du Tour launch, Game of Thrones minstrel Ed Sheeran shocked fans by revealing he's been injured in a bike accident in London.
Sheeran broke the news on Instagram with a picture of his arm in a cast. A caption alongside states that his upcoming gigs may be affected - news that has so far been greeted with over 1.2 million "likes".
It just goes to show that the internet can be a cruel place; nearly as cruel as London's roads.
