This June's Devil Ride sportive from Llandrindod Wells has just got even more fiendish, with the announcement of a new route option - the Diablo Ride.

Taking place on Sunday 18 June, the Devil Ride will now offer a choice of three distances with the new 80-mile Diablo slotting between the full 100-mile Devil and the shorter 50-mile Demon routes.

"At 80 miles long and 8,200ft of climbing it's still an evil challenge, just not as satanic as the full Devil," says organiser Andy Dawson of Rideventures.

The Devil Ride promises a wicked day's riding over a choice of three routes.

The Diablo route misses out the first 20 miles of the Devil distance, but riders will still get to experience the Devil's Staircase and go through Devil's Bridge.

As Andy memorably puts it, "They get a taste of the Devil without having to sell their soul."

All three distances will be clearly signed, with three food stops and circulating broom wagons to enable riders to confront the powers of darkness with full support.

But be warned, the deadline for entries is fast approaching - book your place by Monday 12th June at www.devilride.co.uk.
