The Race to the Sun has been run and won - just - by Sergio Henao, the Team Sky rider claiming Paris-Nice by a margin of two seconds ahead of Alberto Contador. And, like a moto outrider preceding the breakaway, Nice provides another harbinger of approaching summer with Café du Cycliste's latest kit launch.

Boasting a scorching palette guaranteed to frazzle any lingering winter blues, the new Colour Collection from the Nice-based boutique brand includes short-sleeved Marine jerseys, Marinette bib shorts and Colour socks.

Billed as 'Race-fit road wear in glorious mix and match technicolour", with jerseys in "Lollipop and Vapour Green", this kit is so intensely summery we're reaching for sunglasses just looking at the press shots.

The Marine jersey, priced £114, features a low-cut collar, race fit and "invisible" YKK zip. The Marinette bibs come in a choice of two colours, and the socks in four block colours to present a veritable bouquet of combinations.

We particularly like the TV test card badge on the back of the jersey:

The Cote d'Azur may be a little ahead of us in the race to summer - but this new kit from Café du Cycliste might just help bridge the gap.
