Entries for the 2017 edition of the hugely popular Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 sportive are now open. The sportive will take place on Sunday 30 July 2017, and will once again be followed by the pro race finishing in front of Buckingham Palace on the Mall in London.

Hot on the heels of this year's RideLondon-Surrey 100 event, cyclists keen to take part in 2017 can now sign up for a place in the ballot. The ballot will remain open until 17:00 on January 6 2017, or when 80,000 applications have been received - whichever is earlier.

UK residents can enter the ballot here, while a separate entry system for overseas residents is available here. For the third year running, the entry fee for the 2017 sportive will remain unchanged at £58.

RideLondon 2017 will be the fifth edition of what is one of Europe's largest mass participation cycling events. However, the number of places available in the ballot has dropped from 100,000 in 2016 to 80,000 for the 2017 edition - so don't delay in entering, as ballot places may fill up faster than usual.

The RideLondon 100 will once again be followed by the Classic pro race along the same circuit. This year's race was won by Tom Boonen (Etixx-QuickStep), while Kirsten Wild claimed the €25,000 prize as winner of the inaugural women's Classique.
