Rapha has launched the second part of its collaboration with Liberty, London's famous department store and fabric and pattern creators. The collection of women's kit features Liberty patterns on a performance-oriented range of jerseys, shorts and accessories.

"Rapha + Liberty Spring/Summer 2016 features a 1970s fabric chosen for its bold style and movement," explain the launch notes for the collection.

"Rapha and Liberty Art Fabrics worked together to choose the pattern from the Liberty archive of 40,000 prints, and Rapha designers then finessed the pattern onto Rapha's existing 2016 Souplesse collection design."

The collection is designed to be highly technical as well as aesthetically beautiful, and is based on the Rapha Souplesse range for women. Souplesse kit is intended for training and racing and has a streamlined, supportive fit.

Award-winning frame builder Tom Donhou has once again created a custom paint scheme inspired by the collection and executed it on one of his road bikes. The bike will be on display at the Rapha Cycle Club in Soho and will also be available to buy directly from Tom at donhoubicycles.com.

The new Rapha + Liberty collection goes on sale today at www.rapha.cc.
