With Storm Imogen putting the dampeners on Monday commutes across the UK, the idea of a balmy break is more tempting than ever. Velusso is a newly launched cycling travel company based in Mallorca, and with tours promising a luxury experience and the support of pro riders, they might just fit the bill.

Velusso offer five-day cycling breaks tailored to provide a premium cycling experience, with a focus on "convenience and attention to detail, combined with elements of professional cycling."

Based in two luxury villas in Mallorca, Velusso guests can look forward to the best of care: pro cyclists Conor Dunne (JLT Condor) and Daniel Patten (Team WIGGINS) join Velusso guests as cycling consultants and ride guides, while the soigneur services of JLT Condor's Stacey Kelly ensure a genuine taste of the pro experience.

One of Velusso's founders is James Bowtell, World Record holder for cycling across Europe. Speaking ahead of the launch, James explained the ethos behind the company:

"At Velusso we have a passion for travel and cycling, which runs through our core. We take pride in putting smiles on the faces of every single one of our guests by providing them with a unique ride experience.

"Any rider that signs up to Velusso will experience quality in every aspect of their trip, whether that's by interacting with our professional cyclist during a ride or enjoying a drink and a massage by the pool. I invite anyone who strives for a premium service and shares our passion for two wheels to join us in Mallorca and see what it's all about."

High quality road bikes and power meters are available for hire on the trip.

After running successful test trips in 2015 Velusso reckon they have a powerful formula for providing exceptional cycling experiences set for friends, corporate groups, or individuals looking to link up with other like minded riders. Prices start from £1550 per person, with trips taking place from March until May and then later in October.

Sounds pretty good to us. And after riding through the UK winter, you've probably earned a treat...
