Last year over 25,000 riders took part in Evans Cycles' Ride It series, which returns for 2016 with new events and a 3 for 2 offer on sportive entries.

The new Ride It series includes some old favourites that are now well established on the sportive calendar, as well as several new rides to look forward to. Alongside the expected road events, mountain bikers and cyclocross fans are also catered for with dedicated sportives in their discipline. Each sportive offers a choice of three to four distances, and with over 65 events throughout the year riders of all types and abilities will find something to suit their tastes.

For those looking for an extra challenge, the Ride It team have concocted two "super-sportives": the King of the Downs on 7 June and the King of the Pennines on 4 September. Both offer longer and hillier routes designed to test riders' strength and endurance.

Ride It Event Manager Mark Gregory said, "2015 was our busiest year to date. We've continued to develop and evolve the Ride It series over the years with the introduction of our TDF Screenings, Sportive Cross and MTB Endurance rides as well as new locations and improved routes, so we're now looking forward to an even busier year ahead."

To mark the launch of the 2016 series Evans Cycles are currently offering a 3 for 2 deal on entries. Simply select your rides and use the discount code NYRIDE342 which will be valid for entries booked before the end of January.

In addition to the 3 for 2 offer, if you enter any event more than 8 weeks in advance you'll also qualify for a free sports nutrition pack from event sponsors, High 5.
