Rapha's Hell of the North part 5 will take place on Sunday 13 April.

The 100km ride around north London and Hertfordshire is a homage to Paris-Roubaix, the real Hell of the North, and takes place on Sunday 13 April. The alternative - which was once billed as the Hell of the North London - is free for riders and roughly 200 places will be available. The ride takes in as much gravé and cobbled section as can be found and riders are recommended to bring decent 25mm or wider tires and plenty of spare inner tubes. There will be a feed stop at approximately 50km and knowing Rapha it will involve large quantities of high quality caffeine and some excellent flapjacks.

Those wanting to ride the event need to follow rapha_uk on Twitter - details of how to enter will be tweeted at midday on 21 March. Last year the event sold out in just 60 minutes so it is advisable to be ready at noon.

The ride starts in Pond Square in Highgate and ends in a New Barnet pub where all finishers will get a complimentary Belgian beer and a portion of frites. The pub will also be screening Paris-Roubaix and riders are invited to bring plenty of money to buy extra Belgian beers as they cheer on their heroes.
